NOVEMBER NEW MOON IN SCORPIO, ANURĀDHĀ NAKSHATRA | VEDIC WISDOM
Tired? Emotionally drained? Dealing with multiple setbacks or frustrations? Are events forcing you to revisit familiar psychological terrain? You may feel pulled inward, compelled to confront a shadowy reality, perhaps a deep trauma or a fear you have yet to conquer. This is the unknown subconscious cave of Scorpio, where the New Moon arrives on November 20th at 6:47 am GMT in the nakshatra of Anurādhā, the star of friendship, deep devotion, love and loyalty, a place that teaches mastery over inner transformation through difficulty and struggle.
With Saturn retrograde in Pisces, Jupiter retrograde in Cancer and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, joined by the Sun and Mars, the atmosphere becomes dense and emotionally charged. This alignment invites introspection and emotional honesty. It urges you to revisit old wounds, evaluate your choices and find the courage to move toward a more authentic and aligned path. Misunderstandings may arise more easily, and the need for devotion to the right priorities becomes unmistakably clear.
MERCURY RETROGRADE IN SCORPIO
Mercury joins the Sun, Moon and Mars in Scorpio, intensifying the internal landscape. A retrograde planet naturally pulls its energy inward, and here Mercury unearths truths hidden below the surface. Thoughts become investigative, emotions sharpen and intuition awakens in ways that may feel both revealing and confronting. Mars, strong in his own sign, adds heat and also grants the bravery required to face what has been avoided.
This period supports therapy, emotional excavation, journaling and addressing the deeper layers of the psyche that have shaped current choices.

As secrets rise from the subconscious, clarity emerges around what is emotionally true rather than what has been assumed or projected. Venus will soon enter Scorpio (25th), highlighting themes of intimacy, honesty, vulnerability and the courage required to take relationships to a deeper level. Emotional cleansing, psychological rebirth, and profound sensitivity emerge during this transit, opening new channels to self-awareness.
Mercury represents intelligence, discrimination and communication. In the waters of Scorpio, he attempts to purify emotional residue and bring understanding to patterns rooted in past trauma or unresolved memory.
When Mercury moves back into Libra on November 23rd while still retrograde, the focus shifts toward relationship dynamics. This is a time to examine how you express your needs, how you listen and how intimacy is strengthened through honesty rather than expectation.
This New Moon marks a reset. It asks you to release emotional attachments that drain your power.

ANURĀDHĀ NAKSHATRA
Anurādhā carries the energy of Rādhā, the beloved of Kṛṣṇa and the embodiment of pure love, loyalty and spiritual friendship. It reminds us that transformation is cultivated not only through solitude but also through community, connection and sacred companionship.
Saturn, the nakshatra’s ruler, is retrograde in Pisces, signalling karmic completion, emotional release and the closing of a chapter that has weighed heavily on the heart. It becomes necessary to let go of what no longer supports your wellbeing, even if it has been familiar. The lotus grows because it trusts the path upward, away from the murky waters. In the same way, your faith in your own resilience deepens as you move through this cycle.
Can you remain above the muddiness of the world without being consumed by it?
This New Moon activates the Taurus and Scorpio axis, the meeting point between stability and transformation. Scorpio invites shedding and renewal, while Taurus reminds you to rebuild on foundations rooted in self-worth and embodiment. Together they speak to inner strength, patience and returning to what truly sustains the heart.
NEW MOON INTENTION:
I allow myself the grace of rest and the space to slow down, journal and reflect. I welcome clarity that rises from stillness, and I choose actions that support my true emotional needs, spiritual growth, and inner wellbeing.
