MOON IN ROHINI NAKSHATRA

New Moon in Taurus | Rohiṇī Nakṣatra | Vedic Astrology Guidance

Amāvasyā (the New Moon) takes place in Taurus, in Rohiṇī Nakṣatra, on 27 May at 4:02am (BST). With the Moon exalted, it’s a supportive time to rest, turn inward, and reconnect with inner stability; a perfect moment to plant intentions for growth in this cycle of manifestation.

As the Sun and Moon come together in Venus-ruled Vṛṣabha (Taurus), this New Moon opens a gateway to grounded beginnings, where the soul yearns for peace, stability, and beauty rooted in the tangible.

Rohiṇī Nakṣatra, the Moon’s favourite star, carries rohaṇa śakti—the power to ascend, flourish and attract. Brahmā, the Creator, presides here, infusing this moon cycle with the energy of fertility, creativity, and manifestation. It’s a moment to till the soil of the heart, to plant what truly matters: devotion, discipline, and meaningful growth.

Yet there is a seriousness beneath the softness. With Śani (Saturn) casting his aspect from Mīna (Pisces), we are asked to refine what we value through structure, dedication, and mature emotional response.

Plan with clarity. Choose words and actions that align with dharma. Consider your finances, home, and daily routines.

What needs to be simplified so that new life can take root?

Taurus offers this rootedness. It brings focus to themes of safety, devotion, and the quiet consistency needed to cultivate self-worth. In this sign, beginnings are not rushed. They are chosen with care. Here, we tend to what sustains life, what stabilises the home, the body, and the heart.

On this New Moon, we also honour Śani Jayantī: the birth anniversary of Lord Saturn. This alignment marks a potent moment for discipline, responsibility, and spiritual maturity. Śani reminds us that real growth is built through patience and practice.

This is not a time for grand gestures but for the quiet effort of showing up daily, with intention. It is a time to clear mental clutter and commit to what nourishes longevity.

As the Sun casts its light toward Scorpio, be prepared for the unexpected. Remain steady.

What will you grow in the coming weeks? Where can you choose loyalty to Self and Spirit over fleeting gratification?

Eat with the intention of restoring prāṇa to cultivate vitality.

Speak carefully. Speech and sound can be portals of destruction or manifestation!

Sow your thoughts with intention.

Let your life reflect what you truly value.

The chariot of Rohiṇī moves — may your path rise to meet you.

NEW MOON INTENTION:

Begin again with slow, steady, and clear thinking, moving with daily effort toward a life shaped by quiet strength and integrity. It is being, not doing, that sustains this way.

JOURNAL THIS:

⫸ What truly sustains me, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and how can I create more stability around these sources of nourishment?

⫸ Where in my life am I ready to commit to slow, steady growth with discipline and care?

⫸ What clutter, mental, emotional, or material, am I ready to release so that I can make space for what I truly value?

Rise Up, Warrior.

Mentorship & Membership Programme

Begins June 2nd, 2025

For dedicated yoga students ready to walk the dharmic path with depth, clarity and support.

Are you a sincere seeker longing to deepen your yoga journey beyond drop-in classes and solo practice?

Do you feel the pull toward traditional teachings: Sanskrit, Vedic mantras, and the living wisdom of Sanātana Dharma, but find yourself without clear guidance or an accessible path?

You’re not alone.

Many modern yoga spaces bypass the root wisdom of yoga, leaving students spiritually hungry and disconnected from the very tradition they love.

This programme was created for you.

In weekly workshops you’ll move from a fragmented practice to a rooted, living experience of yoga — one that honours the original intention: moksha, the liberation of the soul.

Yoga has been commodified, its language (Sanskrit) stripped away, and its purpose diluted. Without the power of speech (Vāk) and the traditional method of oral transmission, the deeper dimensions of yoga remain out of reach.
